A Damnoen Saduak half day tour from Bangkok to the two most photographed markets in Thailand, leaving at 06:45 for the province of Samut Songkhram. First the Maeklong Railway Market, built right on the tracks of a working railway line: you walk among the stalls and watch the train go through, as the vendors pull back awnings and goods in a matter of seconds and then reopen as if nothing had happened. Then the Damnoen Saduak floating market, explored aboard a private boat along the main canals, among the boats loaded with fruit, spices and traditional sweets. Afterwards there is free time among the stalls, for souvenirs or for a taste of something local. Back in Bangkok before midday. Sample Itinerary
You meet at your hotel reception and set off for the province of Samut Songkhram.
You arrive at the famous market built directly on the railway tracks. You walk among the stalls and watch the distinctive passing of the train, during which the vendors quickly pull back their awnings and goods, only to go back to business as usual a few moments later.
You continue to the Damnoen Saduak floating market. On board a traditional motorboat you travel along the main canals, taking in the many boats loaded with local produce and the lively atmosphere that makes this place one of the symbols of Thailand.
Once the boat ride is over you have some time to stroll among the stalls, buy souvenirs and handicrafts or taste a few specialties of the local cuisine.
After the visits, you return to your hotel in Bangkok (the time may vary slightly depending on traffic conditions).

Please also bear in mind that sea excursions by speedboat are usually not suitable for pregnant women or for people with heart or back problems. What happens in case of bad weather?
Safety is our priority. If weather conditions make an activity dangerous or inadvisable, the excursion will be:
- Rescheduled: we will try to move the activity to another day of your trip.
- Replaced: if rescheduling is not possible, we will offer an alternative activity of equal value.
- Refunded: if neither rescheduling nor replacement is possible, you receive a refund for the excursion you were unable to take. Bank and collection fees on online payments are not refundable.
Please remember that rain during the wet season rarely spoils an entire day. You will always be informed in advance of any changes.
What are the pick-up times?
All meeting and pick-up details are also stated in your final travel documents (which you receive about 3 weeks before departure).
- Time: pick-up is at 06:45 from your hotel reception. It is an early start, and it is what gets you to Maeklong in time for a train crossing. Please be ready at the agreed place at least 15 minutes beforehand.
- Pick-up point: in most cases the pick-up takes place directly in the lobby of your accommodation (if it lies within the areas covered by the service). If it does not, we will tell you the nearest meeting point.
What should I bring with me on the excursions?
For every excursion we provide a list of recommended items. In general, we always suggest:
- Suitable clothing: for example, long trousers and no low-cut tops when visiting the Grand Palace in Bangkok, light and breathable clothes for hot areas, a swimsuit, or comfortable shoes for light trekking.
- Protection: hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Hydration: water, especially on hot days.
- Vouchers and documents: where required, a copy (digital or printed) of your booking voucher.
Are meals or drinks included during the tours?
Not on this one. Lunch is not included and the morning is timed so that you are back in Bangkok around midday, free to eat wherever you like. Water and snacks for the drive are down to you.

Can I cancel or change a single excursion?
Yes, but specific terms apply. Cancellation and amendment conditions vary from one activity to another.

Are young children and infants allowed?
