Frequently Asked Questions About Traveling in Thailand
How does a custom tour with Thailand Fantastic work?
You can take inspiration from our sample itineraries, or we can build a trip that is 100% customizable and shaped entirely around you. We will work together to define every detail according to your wishes, your specific needs, your budget and your dates.
What happens after I contact you?
One of our agents will get in touch with you within 24 hours of receiving your request.
Introductory Call: We will contact you to arrange a short call. This lets us look more closely at your travel idea and understand the character you want to give your adventure.
Receiving the Proposal: You will receive a detailed quote, free of charge and with no obligation.
What does the trip price include? (Visas and Documents)
Requirements depend on your nationality. For travelers from most Western countries, a visa is generally not required for short tourist stays. As of August 2026 you are granted a 60-day permit to stay on arrival (by air, land or sea), extendable once by a further 30 days at an immigration office. Please note: the Thai government has approved a reduction to 30 days that has not yet come into force, so always check the current rules before you travel.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter the country.
You need to complete the Digital Arrival Card through an online form, free of charge, from 3 days before arrival.
Important: We always recommend checking the current entry requirements on the official website of the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country, or on your own government’s travel advisory website, before you depart, because rules and requirements (such as the Digital Arrival Card) can change quickly.
When is the best time to visit Thailand?
Thailand has a tropical climate, but the seasons vary from region to region:
November – February (High Season): Cool, dry season. The best period, with pleasant temperatures. Ideal for Northern Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai) and the Andaman Sea (Phuket, Krabi).
March – May (Hot Season): Very high temperatures, particularly in the North and the Central region (Bangkok). Good for diving in the Andaman Sea.
June – October (Low Season / Rainy Season): Rain is more frequent, especially in the afternoon, but it rarely lasts long. The Gulf islands (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) are generally less affected than the western coasts.
Do you offer discounts for large groups or families?
Absolutely. Because we build custom tours, the cost of many services (such as private transfers or the guide) is shared out as the number of participants grows. For families, groups of friends or corporate trips, we offer reduced rates and optimized solutions. Tell us the exact number of participants in your request to get the best quote.
How do I confirm and pay for my booking?
Once your personalized itinerary has been finalized and approved, we will ask you for a deposit (usually a percentage of the total) to secure the hotels, transport and guides. The final balance is requested according to the schedule stated in the quote. We accept bank transfers and the main digital payment methods; all the instructions are given to you at the time of confirmation.
Is travel insurance included in the package?
As a certified agency holding a valid TAT tourism license, our tours include the basic accident insurance coverage required by Thai law. That said, we strongly recommend that our travelers take out their own complete personal travel insurance back home (covering international medical expenses, cancellation and lost luggage) before departure.
What language are the tours and excursions run in?
To give you the best possible experience, our tours are run by official local guides who speak English (subject to availability at the time of booking). If you would like a guide in another language, we recommend booking well in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
We know plans can change. Our cancellation policies are transparent and vary depending on the type of services booked (for example, the rules of the individual hotels or the ticketing of domestic flights). You will find all the terms for changes, cancellation and refunds clearly explained inside the travel proposal, before you make any payment.
