Phitsanulok: the gateway to the north and its Buddha
Phitsanulok is where a journey north changes pace: the train up from Bangkok stops here, and here stands Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, home to the Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which many Thais consider the most beautiful Buddha image in the country.
